I just dug out this logotype I did for interior decorators Nova a couple years ago. I thought it might be worth sharing! They are an interior styling company based in Oslo, you can find them on Instagram!
Concept
The core for the identity stems from the name itself. Nova means star, so the logotype alludes to a sunrise with the elevated O. They needed to express some measure of vision while maintaining a strict and professional look, so I custom drew the typography in order to hit the right spots. It’s my first time working specifically with interior decorators, as I’ve previously worked with plenty of interior designers and architects, but not this business specifically. Thankfully we have a lot of things in common, good taste among them.
And yes, I’m available for new clients these days. Let’s talk!
Let’s have a look at the exhibit design I did for Turn On Literature!
Turn on Literature is an exhibit showcasing 18 works in electronic literature; apps, websites and other weird ways of pushing the boundaries on how we consume stories.
I designed the exhibit, including the programme, posters, and signage. You can check out everything at the Bergen Official Library, opening this Saturday!
The world biking championships just recently finished putting this city back the way it was before. So now we can show you some of the crazy video design done by our amazing photographer Thomas!
One of the projects we had regarding this massive, week-long event, was creating a video mapping for Folkerestauranten, right atop mount Fløyen where the race ends. The credit for this undertaking all goes to Thomas Morel, our resident photographer. Check out the behind-the-scenes video!
This was a super fun project (albeit on a very tight schedule) where I get to do what I do best. Looking forward to getting my hands on the actual paper versions soon! I also made an animated version, for Instagram and such. If you’re wondering about techniques used, it’s all photoshop baby. No fancy tricks here, just bright colors and elbow grease.
I just did a really fun interview with the swedish mag The Absorbe, complete with a big mixtape! The mix was recorded (in one take) in my apartment in Bergen, featuring Catty the cat amongst other stars. I put in lots of fun tracks from the local Bergen scene as well as some weird stuff, like the “water theme” from Super Mario on Nintendo 64. If you want more, there’s a bunch more music at the music section.

I’m glad to announce my first solo sale exhibit it quite some time, this time at Ujevnt, in Bergen! Come hang out one day, the exhibit will be up for a whole month. On display are mostly new projects, some that haven’t even made it to the webshop yet!
I also made a playlist for the opening, filled with a whole lot of new gems I’ve found lately. Subscribe in Spotify!
My largest resolution going forward is helping to make clubbing more into the safer space it’s supposed to be.
In my life, dance music clubs have been my no.1 “Safe Space”, where I go to be with other people in joy and artistic inspiration, where everyone’s friends, if only for the evening. Where any dance move is cool, where your only authority is the thunderous bass, and you check any grievance at the door.
I’ll readily admit; getting excited enough about a cabinet to blog about them is a mark of a special kind of design nut. Or maybe I’m just magnificently releaved to finally have some organisation of my ten years of poster design. Poster cabinet units like these usually get snatched up instantly when they appear in auctions, so I feel particularly lucky to get some that did’nt come with a ten-fold price hike due to being “vintage” or whatever they call old these days. Organising and storing fancy posters like these, that get deemed unsellable if they aquire the smallest crease, is hard enough when they are regular-sized. But now these 90x70cm ones will be a pain in my ass no more!
Most of the posters you see in these photos are available in the Shop still, so go have a look! (more…)
Seems the clearest way for me to implement my ideas is simply making them into merch. The continuing battle of inclusiveness and diversity in club culture is worthy of a helluva lot more than a cup. But then again, how else would you let your cupboard know where you stand on political issues? Next time you invite a date in for coffee, you can let them know you are WOKE AF with every sip.
And this way, I’m putting my mind-fingers on you both when dancing in the wee hours of the night, as well as for breakfast the next morning. I’m turning this creepy without even trying.
