Visual identity for Lead

Lead is an artist currently signed on ANDM, specializing in big-sounding disco and tropic productions. Just in time for the bikini season, I was invited to develop Lead’s visual identity in collaboration with the artist himself.

Lead is available on Soundcloud, beatport and all the other regulars.

I’m nominated for an award!

VisueltNominert

In the middle of my little get-away week in France (where I am now writing to you from), my colleague Jørund let me know one of my projects from last year, the identity system for Phonofestivalen, was nominated for best visual identity of the year in Visuelt! Holy moly!

I am super happy (can’t wait for the awards ceremony to see who wins) and truly grateful to all you awesome people that inspire me every day. I raise my glass!

So here’s a photo of the fun we are having.

Recycle culture

…So I just made this, a small statement on the evolution of our culture. It’s too complex to screen print by hand, but if there is interest, I might be swayed to make some giclee prints for you.

Highlights from Intertwine+Tobii

This week we (Nabovarsel) threw another one of our big parties at Landmark. Intertwine played an awesome set, and the always brilliant Tobii played us into the night afterwards.

Here are some highlights from the preparations and the party itself!

Best. Logo revision. Ever.

coimbraI just found this awesomeness made by Miguel Palmeiro. What a great simplification! An incredible shame that it’s only a proposition, and not an actual remake(yet, at least).

University of Coimbra, get on that!

the Trend List

trend list

A few days ago my colleague and internet grand master Mario Urban showed me something.. interesting.

trendlist.org is an aggregation, analyzation and exposition of modern design trends. It might be a secret weapon for you. But be careful! This is to design what The Game is to dating; if you follow it blindly you’ll end up treating people like machines and lose all love of the craft. But as a tool in your arsenal it can help to make things clearer, and show you what to avoid just as much as what to do. it’s also a helpful way to categorize and help you see your own bullshit from time to time.

Anyone can put a triangle in space and make the text underlined. Real designers ask themselves what the content needs, not how they can squeeze the content into a predefined style.

Just remember: With great power comes great responsibility.

Original track: konsistens

konsistens cover

This is the cover art for my track Konsistens, that have been lying around for a while but I now finally got around to putting out. As for the track itself, it’s a warm gulash-flavoured heatstroke of a song, inspired by Steve Reich, Jon Brooks, Biosphere and Skatebård. Listen and download at Soundcoud.
